The Friends of the Boaz Public Library was founded in 1997 to support the mayor and the library's Board of Directors in raising funds for a new library. The Board of Directors had recently launched a fundraising drive to build a new library for the residents of Boaz, and the Friends contributed significantly to helping achieve this goal.

Friends Room - Great Prices on books and other items.

The Friends of the Library continues today with the Friends Room, open during library hours with new and gently used books, magazines, movies, etc. at a great price. Items range in price from $.25 to $3.00. The Friends also hold other special fundraising events throughout the year such as bake sales and 1/2 price book sales. All money goes back to the library to help purchase items not included in the city budget.
The library will gladly accept donations on behalf of the Friends anytime during library hours. And if you would like to join the Friends of the Library, complete the attached application.
