Donations & Memorials
Donations:
The Boaz Public Library welcomes donations of books and other materials and accepts monetary contributions toward the purchase of materials. The Library reserves the right to decide the disposition of all gifts received. Gifts accepted for addition to the Library’s collection become the property of the Boaz Public Library and will be placed where most appropriate. Materials which are dirty, molded, or damaged may be discarded. Material not utilized in the Library’s collection may be given to the Friends of the Library to be used in their book sales. The proceeds from the book sales are used to support the Library.
Memorial books will be designated as such with an appropriate book plate. In the case of cash donations, the library will make selections based on information from the donor. Memorial items are the property of the library and will be treated as all other library materials are treated.
Anyone desiring that gift materials be returned if they cannot be added to the library collection should make this stipulation at the time of donation.
Although the Boaz Public Library acknowledges gifts for tax purposes, it cannot be responsible for accessing the monetary value of gifts.

Memorial Gifts:
A contribution to the Boaz Public Library is a perfect way to commemorate any occasion: birthday, anniversary, graduation, etc. A donation placed in memory of a loved one becomes a living memorial to that person. Each gift will be acknowledged with a thank you card to the donor. A similar card will be sent to the recipient or the family. The librarian will endeavor to follow wishes of the donor in the selection of materials purchased for the memorial. All gifts and donations are greatly appreciated.
